Batman Begins

Oh man. You absolutely have to see this movie. It rocks. I just went to see it in the IMAX theatre yesterday. Spend the extra couple bucks and go see it in the IMAX. There aren't any commercials playing when you come in, there aren't any previews, the film quality is better, there are less people there, yeah. You get the picture.

Anyway, about the cool movie. It rocks. I already said that. Oh well. I knew I wanted to see it but, after reading the review in the paper that gave in four stars out of four, I was positive. Then I saw that there was a showing at the IMAX in an hour. So, me and Dad hopped in the car and went to see it! Okay, about the actual movie. He starts out in some god-forsaken waste-land. Towards the beginning of the movie he has a flash-back to when he was a kid. When he had his encounter with bats, when he watched his parents get killed, etc, etc. Then this guy (Leeam Neeson) comes and gets him out of the jail he's in for stealing food and he goes to this giant temple on this mountain and starts his training. He get beat up time after time after time. It's great. Anyway, eventually he gets back to Gotham and starts becoming Batman. He gets every cool gadget you can imagine (plus the coolest car you will ever see). I'm not going to give anything away but, there's your good 'ol high-speed car chase (with his awesome car), and, OH! I almost forgot! One of the best things about the movie is the bad guy. Of course, I can't remember his name now but, he's Dr. Crane in the movie. He hardly ever blinks throughout the whole movie, he has these crystal blue eyes and perfectly clear glasses, and he has his mask. You'll see what I mean when you see the movie.

REBOL/View 1.3

YES! It's finally here! REBOL/View 1.3 has been released! They've added a bunch of cool stuff. I think my favorite thing is the new AGG (Anti-Grain Graphics) draw dialect. You can do soooo much cool stuff with it. I haven't done much with it yet but, believe me; I will. They have made some changes on the Desktop too. It handles a little better now.

They currently only have 1.3 for Windows XP. The Mac and Linux versions should come soon. Check it out!

PS3, XBOX 360, Revolution, which to choose?

I'm going to have quite the time deciding which next-generation game system to purchase when they all come out. The XBOX 360 comes out first; around Christmas 2005. The Nintendo Revolution and the Playstation 3 come out sometime in 2006. The XBOX 360 is going to have removable hard drives for all your saved games, stuff you've downloaded from XBOX Live, and anything else you can think of. You can even hook up your XBOX to your home computer network and share files that way. The PS3 is going to have some sort of double-layer DVD drive that can hold something like 4.7 GB of data. The only problem is, it looks like a printer! Oh well. The Revolution, Nintendo's new machine, is finally going to have a full-size disc drive. It looks incredibly slick. Just do a Google image search and you'll find it. It can lay flat or, since it comes with a stand, it can stand upright. It's about the size of three standard DVD cases stacked. Whereas with the XBOX 360, it's practically a tower! Nintendo still ruled the market for mobility.

And then there's the whole thing with Sony coming out with the PSP. Now we have Sony PSP versus Nintendo DS. The PSP does look really cool. It can play all sorts of videos, you can store music on it (I think), and, of course, you can play games on it. But, then again, the DS is pretty awesome too. With the dual screens (hint, "DS") and the bottom one being a touch screen. I knew one guy who used the pointer from his Palm Pilot on his DS because it worked better. Also, it's Nintendo. You can't get Mario, or Samus, or Donkey Kong or any other cool carachters without Nintendo. Another thing to consider is the price. The PSP is something like $229 and the DS is only $149. That makes a difference too.

But, for now, I'm happy with my Gamecube. "Mario Kart: Double Dash" is the best game in the world! Although, Metroid Prime is pretty good too...

Chain Letters

AAUUGH!

Okay, so today I got 16 emails. I think maybe 3 or 4 of them were actually worth while. At least 10 of them were stupid CHAIN LETTERS! There was only 1 that I actually thought was funny:

I mean, if people can send me 4 or 5 every day, then they must forward every single one they get, or they must get at least 10 a day! It's insane! Maybe I should start a chain letter campaigning against chain letters.
